What's For Breakfast

photo 2 (2) After a weekend of road trips and drive-thrus, I was looking for something on the lighter side for breakfast this morning. I have always wanted to try broiled grapefruit and it did not disappoint.  Broiling the grapefruit enhances its natural flavor and it is a super healthy meal.  It is the best time of the year to try it because the fruit is in season.

Broiled Grapefruit

(1 serving)

ingredients

  • 1 whole grapefruit, sliced in half
  •  2 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions

Evenly sprinkle 1 tablespoon of brown sugar on each grapefruit half

Place under the broiler for 4 minutes.  And that's it!
